Reason for decision

Decision required is just to implement a new Selective Licensing scheme for private rented properties in parts of Scarborough.

There would be no negative environmental impact. Most of the area is within walking distance of the local Scarborough office, which will minimise carbon emissions when travelling to undertake inspections.

In addition, improvements to properties will be undertaken, which will include improvements to domestic heating systems, which may see slight reductions in carbon emissions as a result.
